We’d like to thank Jeanine Perkins for posting this great photo of the afghan she just finished. Our readers always like to hear about patterns and construction details and Jeanine was good enough to share that information, too. She writes,
“Hello, everyone. I finished this afghan for my son-in-law just in time for Father’s Day. It is a free pattern from Red Heart. It is called ‘Shamrock Afghan’. He is Irish, so I thought he would love it and he did!!! I made it bigger than the pattern called for. Since it was madein squares, it was easy to change the measurements. I like that feature.“
Jeanine also said that it took longer to weave in all the ends and sew the blocks together than it did to crochet the blocks themselves. She enlarged it, too, from 88 blocks to 130. We love it! All those 4-leaf clovers will bring luck! Thank you, Jeanine, for inspiring us.
