Crochet in the Morning: March 18

Seeing colorful crochet in the morning is just a good way to get the day started. For those of us who work, or who have errands to run, it’s always easy to tuck some yarn and a hook in our bag. Yarn can be so colorful and our creations so lovely that it will always chase away the grey of stubborn winter.

Here are some examples, all from our readers’ recent posts.

from Michelle Richard: “A day without yarn is like a day without sunshine. Hope you are all having a sunny day….”

Michelle enjoys free form crochet. There’s no pattern, just the urge to experiment with new stitches and to see where it takes you! It’s a true art form. The secret is in the yarn, the weight and color.

from Susan Wilkes-Baker: “Duck lovey.”

We’ve all enjoyed the assortment of loveys that Susan has shared. We love this for for the color his little feet in the front and look of amazement.

from Debra Brannon: “Granny Squares afghan with centered flowers in coral and peach. This is for a miniature dollhouse in 1:12 scale. The afghan is only 5 inches square. I made this a set with pillows to match.

Debra’s work is beautiful. It’s going to be an elegant dollhouse with an afghan this fine!
