A Bit of Crochet Christmas: December 7

We love everything crochet that has to do with Christmas and the holidays! Here are just a few that have recently been shared with us by our readers…plus one great set of leg warmers that most of us could use this cold evening!

from Rhonda Mills: “Christmas Holiday Look for the winter; every other row double crochet, single crochet, 4-sided with lid chain lace added bow & ribbon added popcorn stitches.

Thanks, Rhonda, for your lovely photo. The tissue box cover is so pretty! It’s one of the prettiest we’ve ever seen. Great work, Rhonda!

from Patty Melanson: “This is my idea of Santa’s tote/gift bag.”

Thanks, Patty, for sharing your tote with us. It is darling!

from: Jennifer Bardell: “55 Snowflakes I made for our Christmas tree at work.”

Jennifer’s crocheted snowflakes are a work of art. There are so very many differing designs! Crocheting snowflakes for decorations has been a beloved tradition for decades. They make a tree so lovely and can be passed down through the generations. There are many commercial patterns and/or online instruction available from companies such asMartha Stewart, All Free Crochet and others.

from: Linda M Toth: “Just finished Leg Warmer’s; Black with Black and silver specks for edging, with silver snowflake button’s. Great for those cold day’s and night’s out !”

We wanted to include Linda’s leg warmers tonight because, well, because it is so cold outside and they look so warm and so stylish at the same time. We love how hers are dressy! Thank you, Linda, for modeling them.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their love of crochet, and their talent, with our crochet community at Starting Chain. We inspire each other.
