Crochet gives so many opportunities for unique creativity. Here are three recently posted by our readers. The captions are in their own words.

“Iwas not really expecting to place second in the category for this baby blanket. It was my first ever entering the County fair. I am already planning for next years fair.” — Charlene Quinn

One of the comments on Charlene’s post was about how she could crochet during work breaks. That is one of the very nice things about our creative hobby. It’s so easy to transport and pull out for just a few minutes of “yarn overs”.

“This crocheted & felted Color Block Handbag with vintage buttons has 3 inside sections!” — Judith Baker

It’s gorgeous and very fashionable!

“Crocheted and hand dyed (ombre) tie backs I made for my sister. I used sequins and seed beads to make the flowers!” — Lori Hogan.

Note: “Ombre” is French for “to shade”. It allows a fabric, or piece of crochet in this case, to be dip-dyed to give a graduated level of color intensity. We haven’t seen much of the technique in crochet but it certainly does have a pleasing effect. Thank you, Lori, for showing it to us.

Thanks to everyone who has shared photos of their creations with us all. It opens new doors of crochet possiblities.
