Good Morning from Starting Chain! This morning we’d like to show off some beautiful afghans that have recently been shared with us by our readers. They are lovely! We hope they give you some ideas for a new crochet project. Spring, with its chilly mornings, is a great time to make afghans.
Thanks go to Alison, Debby, Janet, Cheryl and everyone else who has shared their love of crochet with all of us.
from: Alison Walker: “I hope it’s okay for me to post this here. I’ve been working on this blanket for my niece, off and on, since mid November. It’s loosely based on the CAL led by Not Your Average Crochet. The starting chain was 288, and it’s 282 rows high, about 6 1/2′ x 8 1/2′. I am very glad to be done – it sure is heavy!”
from: Debby Strebel Avery: “Baby afghan for a coworker. One more to make, she is going to be the grandma of twin girls in May.”
from Janet Brock Fant: “Apple Mile a Minute afghan I made for my niece just finished it today.”
from: Cheryl Deans Pinger: “Made by Cheryl Deans Pinger.”
Most all the major crochet pattern companies have patterns for the American flag. There’s plenty of time to stitch one up before July 4!
