Tonight we’re just going to show some crochet projects as recently shared, by our readers, with us all at our Starting Chain Facebook page. We hope they inspire you to create lovely crochet, too, to try something different, to search out patterns you find appealing or create your own design. Crochet always just seems to make things more beautiful.
We all know that beauty takes time and that traditional crochet designs, made into bedspreads and tablecloths and curtains, took months and sometimes even years. Georgiann Eikenbary has kept up that tradition with her beautiful work. She writes,
“Imade this from a vintage pattern called ‘Peacock Feathers’. It took meseven months working on it in my spare time and also I worked on it part of the time during my lunch hour at work. It is 82” in diameter. Shown here on an oval-shaped table.“
Thank you, Georgiann, for showing this to us all and inspiring us to keep up the tradition of creating crocheted works of art that will be heirlooms!
by Tania Parson. She entered the set into her local fair and just found out that she not just won 1st Place, but Best in Show and Grand Champion! Congratulations, Tania!
Thanks to everyone who has shared their work on Starting Chain. Yarn Over!
