In Praise of Well-Done Simplicity

While we all love whimsey and seeing how crochet can be successfully used in fashion, it’s just always nice to return to the basics…to see crochet that’s well done with simple and traditional patterns and stitches. This morning we’d like to feature four of those that have recently been shared with us all by our readers. Their work is well done and we can all say “Bravo!”

from: Amy Crookham Collins: “Finished this afghan using an old Leisure Arts leaflet and Red Heart yarn. I love it!”

from Tina Reyna: “2 sided afghan made to fit a king size bed. Free pattern at following site for main blanket.
I made four and stitched them together, then created the border of my choice. https://www.knitting-crochet.com/crochet/2sided.html

from Dianna Brooks

from Eva Helmer: “Baby blankets I crocheted for a friend. I hope see likes them.”
