June 17 – Featured Crochet on Starting Chain

from: Susanna Saint Barr: “sorry! don’t have the name of the pattern or the instructions. To keep myself busy, I’ve been making “double blanket” afghans for queen sized beds. It usually takes me more than a year to finish. Last summer, there were two weddings. The second one didn’t get done in time. But, they are both finished. Kind of like quilting, by offsetting rows of triangles, I created a ripple stitch on the one side. Our favorite is the other side where it looks to be ribboned with the solid colors and zig-zagged with the variegated yarn.”

from: Nancy’s Nice Knots of Crochet: “Several days ago I dug out this Ripple Waves Baby Blanket that I started last year. Nearing the finish line with it now! The pattern has it in only 2 colors; I used 6 colors.Free pdf pattern:https://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW2287_rev.pdf”
