Today’s Featured Crochet: July 12

All the projects below were made by members of our Starting Chain crochet community at Facebook. We love to chain!

1069262_10201514663447157_292243710_nCarmen Dones made this lovely crocheted dress and purse set for a friend’s granddaughter. We think the stitch she’s used on the skirt and the delicate classic trim is just very beautiful! Carmen also made the bedspread. Both are works of beauty that will stand the test of time and that can passed down through the generations.

1010044_580436965332221_1538462160_nOlivia de la Garza made this very tasteful wedding pillow for her son’s wedding. She took the pattern from The Complete Book of Crochet Stitch Designs by Linda P. Schapper. She used Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread.

1016256_10201598458431470_379026945_nJanet Rowh‘s photo of her crochet rug is just beautiful. It is on her screened-in porch and gives that wonderful touch of the “summer delicate” to a vintage floor. Her cat is an extra bonus! Janet writes that she made it from 12 packages of cotton clotheslines and a size Q hook. She used a simple doily pattern. One of the nice things about cotton is that it launders so nicely. This is just beautiful!

1002932_4991670356588_801876003_nWe’d like to end this morning by showing this lovely afghan made by Margie Lucus. She writes that it is the second one she’s done from this pattern and that they “work up so fast!” We’d like to thank her, too, for including information about the pattern source from Drops Design: https://www.garnstudio.com/lang/us/pattern.php?id=4478&lang=us.

Thanks to everyone who has shared photos of their recent projects with our crochet community. Happy Chaining. Yarn Over!
