Hello again from Starting Chain! Crochet gives so many opportunities for creativity and we love showing off some of the work done by our readers. If you’d like to share a photo and description of a recent project you’ve done, just come to our Starting Chain Facebook page and upload a clear photo there. Give as much detail as you can about how you made the project. If you used a pattern, please give the pattern name and source. Information on yarns and construction hints are always appreciated.
We love, too, seeing creations done for family and friends or for charity. We also really enjoy seeing works done without a pattern or from a pattern you’ve created yourself. It’s all about creativity and beauty…and sometimes just whimsy.
Thanks, Lynn, for sharing this with us. It is so darling, especially with what looks like bits of pink fur stitched in. Lynn also did a beautiful matching sweater, creating it without a pattern. Sometimes it does take courage for a new crocheter to start a project without a pattern, but sometimes it just takes trying. And the nice thing about crochet is that you can always start over!
Martha’s sweater coat is stylish and we know it will be warm. Thanks, Martha, for your post!
from Rick N Theresa Karle: “Afghan-Tunisian stitch with cross-stitch scratching kitty.”
All of us who have had cats can enjoy Theresa’s work. Cats do love crochet, too, and many of us have memories of a kitten climbing up an afghan. Thanks, Theresa, for the smiles. We love it!
